72,000 Breakfasts: Feeding Agege Constituency 02
In the Gospel story, a boy offers five loaves and two fish, and a crowd is fed with baskets to spare. The lesson is not about the size of the gift. It is about what happens when a small offering is placed in the right hands and shared.
That is the idea behind the Hon. Oyesola 5 Loaves & 2 Fish Program, a 120-day community breakfast initiative that begins on 1 November 2026 in Agege Constituency 02, Lagos State.
The need on our streets
Rising food prices have made the first meal of the day the first one many households cut. A child who goes to school hungry struggles to concentrate. An elderly neighbour skips breakfast to stretch the week. A trader starts a long day on an empty stomach. Breakfast is small, but missing it affects school attendance, health and productivity.
What we are doing
The Programme will serve 100 free breakfast meals in each of the 6 wards of Agege Constituency 2, every day for 120 days. That is:
- 600 meals a day
- 72,000 meals in total
- from 1 November 2026 to 28 February 2027
The Programme is sponsored by Hon. Oyesola CSR and run by 88 Oak Impact Organization (88OI), a registered Nigerian NGO. Hon. Oyesola is a member of the 88OI Board of Trustees and has made the first commitment. The rest we are inviting the community to complete.
How it works
Each ward has one serving point in a safe, accessible place agreed with local leaders. Residents who need the meal, including children, elderly people, widows, persons with disabilities and low-income workers, register once and receive a place. Meals are prepared by vetted local caterers, many of them small, women-led food businesses, so the Programme also supports the local economy. Trained volunteers serve, and a ward coordinator records every meal.
The Programme is open to every resident in need, regardless of religion, ethnicity or politics. No party colours, slogans or campaigning are allowed at serving points.
Every meal counted, then audited
We want you to be able to trust where your gift goes. Every meal is logged daily by ward. Donors receive weekly updates. After the 120 days, an independent auditor will verify the meals served and how the money was used, and we will publish an impact report. The audited results will also help us make the case for further feeding rounds and other community campaigns with 88OI.
What it costs, and how you can help
We estimate that one breakfast costs about ₦1,540 (a planning figure that we will confirm with caterer quotes). That makes giving simple:
| Your gift | What it feeds |
|---|---|
| ₦2,000 | 1 breakfast |
| ₦20,000 | 10 breakfasts |
| ₦200,000 | One ward for a day (100 breakfasts) |
| ₦1,200,000 | All 6 wards for a day (600 breakfasts) |
| ₦1,400,000 | One ward for a week |
| ₦24,000,000 | One ward for the full 120 days |
Companies, foundations and brands can give cash, supply food, packaging or transport, or send staff to volunteer. Individuals and groups can sponsor a meal, a day or a week, or give their time. Every gift receives a receipt and regular updates.

Five loaves and two fish did not look like much. Together, we can make them enough for Agege.
